You know what to do … but it’s hard to get started. Or you keep trying … but your new exercises or strategies get lost when you review your to-do list. No matter what is getting in the way of making change, you aren’t alone. Making changes can take time and isn’t always easy. In this workshop, we will review how people form habits and how “small changes” can help make changes that last.
Speaker: Julia is a Registered Occupational Therapist working at Unity Health in Toronto in a Chronic Pain Clinic that is part of the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute. Outside of work, Julia takes care of herself by exploring nature, connecting with others, moving her body, meditating, playing boardgames, and trying to better understand herself and the world around her. Related to this workshop, she has a personal and professional interest in barriers that come up when trying to make lifestyle changes, and strategies that work when building new habits.
